Project

Site-specific colour project in the transformation of 3 historic buildings
Bespoke natural paints colour palette, mural, runners, geometric ornamentation on glass panels and mirrors.
In this process of priming The Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, former Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building, emphasis was put on a distinctive colour palette and a thorough geometric composition, inspired by the nearby cultural and historical buildings of Thorvaldsens Museum and Slotsholmen. Working within an energetic intersection of texture, pattern and surface, the interconnected redesign encompassed both patterned carpets, abstract colour setting and translucent ornamentation. With an overall focus to challenge the functions of the rooms and the movement within, the transformation is binding together spaces of three very different historical eras and seeks to give a sense of coherence and continuity.

The site-specific art project is developped in close dialogue with Architect Jens Bertelsen, Bertelsen & Scheving Arkitekter who designed the transfomation
