Project

Site-specific exhibition in the former home and studio of late Gunnar Aagaard Andersen at Munkeruphus

The way we experience space is influenced by different circumstances. With her installation Colour Sections, Malene Bach uses colours and a series of different textures from materials to influence us and to create new experiences of space. Malene Bach’s investigative process is very similar to Gunnar Aagaard Andersen’s restless and continuously curious experiments with materials and colours.

Colour is the primary material in Colour Sections and it is used continuously. By playing with materials, varying dimensions and different shapes and surfaces, Malene Bach has created five colour installations, which create connections between the space and the observer in new ways and remind us that our experience of colours is constantly changing because they are influenced by light and each other.
